Ellagic Acid is a potent anti-oxidant, a phenolic compound known as a potent anti-carcinogenic/anti-mutagenic compound. Ellagic Acid acts as a scavenger to "bind" cancer-causing chemicals, making them inactive. It also has anti-bacterial, anti-viral properties.
Ellagic Acid is formed from ellagitannins present in nature's plant life. Ellagic Insurance FormulaTM yields ellagic acid from three sources. It provides over 140 mg of Ellagic acid per capsule (840 mg per serving of 6 capsules).
